MOROCCO – Sunsets over Marrakech

Short Break Tour 18 – 22 April 2019

Itinerary:

Thursday 18 April 2019: Arrival in Casablanca – Arrival from at Casablanca Mohamed V airport at 18:55 . Direct flight from Malta to Casablanca. On arrival meet and greet by the driver and transfer to your hotel.Check in, and overnight at Atlas Les Almohades Casablanca (www.hotelsatlas.com) or Similar.

Friday 19 April 2019: Casablanca – Marrakech  – After breakfast, check out and transfer to the central market, the Habous district, the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the Hassan II Mosque (external only). You will have some free time at the Corniche before transfer to Marrakech. In the afternoon, we will visit a souk which is like entering into an exotic film set with streets filled in the most amazing array of colors, sights, smells and sounds, where craftsmen gather together in separate streets like silver street, Shoes Street and metal work street. Get the chance to visit the Djemmaa-el-Fna Square where fortune-tellers, acrobats, vendors, snake charmers and magicians put on a never-ending show.

Hotel check in and overnight. 

Saturday 20 April 2019: Full day Marrakech – After breakfast, sightseeing of Marrakesh so called  The Pearl of the South featuring a visit to Dar Si Said – Museum of Moroccan Arts, the Koutoubia Minaret and the magnificent Bahia Palace with its extraordinary tiles, courtyards and fountains. Free time for lunch.

Optional dinner at Chez Ali restaurant with Show. 

Sunday 21th April 2019: Full day excursion in Essaouira – After breakfast at the hotel a relaxing drive passing through Argan trees taking you to Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage listed city. This windswept fishing port, with broad beaches and ancient walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs has long been a popular destination. With its relaxed feel in the medina, stroll along the  beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch. (The Gnaouas Music Festival is held in Essaouira in June.)

Enjoy a Sea food lunch, then head back to Marrakech. Overnight at hotel.

Monday 22nd April 2019: Marrakech and departure to Casablanca airport – After breakfast, free at leisure for personal exploration. At 15:00 transfer to Casablanca Mohamed V airport to flight back to Malta.
